Fantasy Civilization

“Civilizations” project final piece:
This was my second final piece, and it was made for a project called the “civilizations project”. This required me to create a world with three major races, I decided to have a mystical theme. I made Mer-people, dragons and faeries. I wanted the piece to very bright and colorful, it fits my style very well. I have always had an eye for bright and contrasting colors. This piece was originally completed very quickly, then I kept coming back to it to add more detail and redraw certain bits of it. The dragon at the top of the image was redrawn the most as a whole, but the entire drawings shadow and light effects were redrawn numerous times as it always looked slightly too dark or that shadows just weren't in the right places. Now I am very happy with it and am proud of my handiwork.
